Focus: Minimum age is 49. Biking and kayaking, hiking and
going out to lunch during the non-ski season.
Trips: Most activities take place during the middle of the
week, making it ideal for retirees or those with flexible
schedules.
Fee: Initiation fee required; membership confirmed after a one-season
probation period. New members must be sponsored.

Freestylers Ski Club

Focus: Members join the club for access to the club's lodge
in Tahoe City, where members can stay as often as they like,
November to May.

Nisei Ski Club

Trips: Ski excursions on weekends, usually to two resorts.
Costs vary but include two dinners and two breakfasts, lodging and
lift tickets. Also, an annual weeklong trip, this year to
Steamboat Springs, Colo. Hiking, biking and other year-round
activities.
Focus: 21 and over, predominantly Japanese American and
Chinese American, but open to all.
Fees: Yearly fee.

SAGA-North Ski and Snowboard Club

150, in the Bay Area and Sacramento.
Trips: Three or four one-day bus excursions and five or six
weekend trips to Tahoe resorts, and four out-of-state trips.
Summer and social events as well.
Focus: Gay men and lesbians
Fees: Yearly fee required. Bus trips, which include food and a lift
ticket, are about $100. Non-members are welcome.

Focus: "People who love to ski and snowboard."

weekend during winter quarter.
Focus: Students primarily but all are welcome.
